Anti-Gentrification Campaign

Gentrification is deeply rooted in a history of discriminatory laws and practices in the United States, and it also has enormous impacts on residents' lives. In this "Anti-Gentrification Campaign," I initiated, I laser cut these anti-gentrification slogans onto cardboard and spray painted them around the gentrifying neighborhood in Chinatown. We also used light to project slogans on the roller shutter door, documented them in the form of photography and videography, and eventually shared them on the internet. This project is meant to raise the public's awareness of this issue and also to empower and support people in the Chinatown community.
