Modern Tragedy

This is the album cover I design for singer Joanna Wang. I am randomly assigned with a music genre, Jazz and an art movement, Renaissance, which are two languages in two different worlds. I borrow the playfulness of jazz and mimic the engraving on inscription at the time of Renaissance and combine them into this piece. At the end, I also created this motion graphic to play with the typography in this system.
